EFA | Seventh Axis Request now
The Seventh Axis is our new concept for a linear robot-axis. This element of automation has been rarely used in body-in-white manufacturing in the past. Toady it has become a standard in the flexible production lines. In this environment the seventh axis is used as interconnecting conveying element, for automatically loading parts into tooling stations or as path controlled process axis, i.e. for complex welding applications. Especially the path controlled applications are demanding increased accuracy and repeatability, which is commonly realized by additional locking devices attached to the robot carrier unit.
Advantages of the Seventh Axis
- Can be freely positioned over the entire travel path
- Modular expandable
- Various motor types possible
- Automatic lubrication
- Completely covered rack
- Wipers on the running surface
- Gude rollers are easy to change
